In 1958, Vincent and Beatrice DeGrandchamp bought a small 12-acre blueberry farm near the shores of Lake Michigan in South Haven, Michigan. Decades later, their four children and grandchildren farm 200 acres of blueberries, 40 acres of cranberries and approximately 7 acres of container grown nursery stock and greenhouses. We also have a modern packaging and shipping facility with a farm market and offices.
Vincent and Beatrice DeGrandchamp have since passed away but their legacy lives on. Vince did not get to see the first cranberry harvest but was instrumental in the early development of the crop. Daughter Judy Johnson manages the office and retail market. Mike DeGrandchamp oversees the nursery/greenhouse operations. Joe DeGrandchamp manages the blueberry portion of the business. Bob DeGrandchamp oversees the cranberry care and harvesting.
Truly a family business, at one point or another all eleven of Vince and Beatrice’s grandchildren have worked on the farm.

Cranberry Harvest Day
Past for 2017
A popular event on our farm is our Cranberry Harvest Day. Once a year we open up our fields so that we can share the beauty of our cranberry harvest with the public. Take a hay ride out to our Cranberry Bogs where you can watch us harvest a sea of red, ripe cranberries!
