Cranberry Harvest Day Information
A popular event on our farm is our Cranberry Harvest Day. We open up our fields so that we can share the beauty of our cranberry harvest with the public.
What to Expect:
- Trolley rides to our bogs throughout the day to watch as we harvest a sea of red, ripe cranberries!
- Observe our sorting line to learn about the way we sort and package cranberries for processing.
- Check out our retail market. We offer many cranberry products. From jams to salsas, to dried fruit, to baked goods, we have something for everyone!

Know Before You Go Guide
When should I arrive?
Cranberry Harvest Days opens at 10 AM, but guests don’t need to arrive right at opening. Guests are welcome to arrive throughout the day. The biggest rush is typically at opening, so arriving a little later may provide a smoother experience. The last trolley to the cranberry bogs departs at approximately 3:45 PM.
Where should I park?
Follow the parking signs near The Farm Store to the designated parking area in the fields. Team members will also be available to help direct guests when they arrive.
Where do I go after parking?
After parking, follow the signs to the Ticket Booth/check-in area. Whether you purchased tickets online or still need to buy them, this is where the Cranberry Harvest Days experience begins.
Can I buy tickets the day of the event?
Yes. You can buy tickets online or in person on the day of the event.
What should I wear?
Dress for a Fall day outdoors on a working farm. We recommend comfortable outdoor shoes or boots and weather-appropriate clothing. Depending on the forecast, guests may also want to bring a jacket, sunscreen, umbrella, or rain gear.
What is the terrain like?
Expect uneven grassy areas and some gravel throughout the farm. If it has recently rained, some areas may also be muddy. Comfortable outdoor footwear is recommended.
What can I expect on the cranberry bog tour?
The experience begins with a trolley ride to the cranberry bogs, approximately 10 minutes from The Farm Store. Once there, guests can get off the trolley, see cranberries floating in the bog, watch the harvest process, and learn how cranberries are grown and harvested. Guests can enjoy the bog and then catch a trolley back when they are ready.
What happens after the cranberry bog?
After returning from the bog, guests can continue through the Makers Market & Cranberry Sampling, Cranberry Process Line, Front Lawn Activities, and The Farm Store.
How long should I plan for my visit?
The cranberry bog portion is self-paced, so guests can spend as much time there as they would like. The trolley ride to the bog takes approximately 10 minutes. After returning, plan about 20 minutes to complete the rest of the tour. Guests may want to allow extra time to shop, eat, participate in activities, or enjoy the farm.
How often do the trolleys run?
Trolleys depart about every 10 minutes, letting guests enjoy the bog at their own pace and catch a ride back when they are ready
Is the experience wheelchair accessible?
Yes. All trolleys are wheelchair accessible, and guests can remain in their wheelchair while riding to and from the cranberry bogs. Please keep in mind that the bog is on a working farm with uneven grassy terrain, which may make some areas harder to navigate.
What happens if it rains?
Cranberry Harvest Days will continue during normal rain and changing Fall weather. The event may be canceled in severe weather. If severe weather is expected, guests should check the DeGrandchamp Farms website and social media for the latest updates before heading to the farm.
Are restrooms available?
Yes. Restrooms are available outside and inside The Farm Store.
Are pets allowed?
No. Pets are not permitted at Cranberry Harvest Days.
Can I bring outside food or drinks?
Outside food is not permitted. Guests may bring their own water bottles. You can purchase food, drinks, baked goods, and other treats during the event.
Can I purchase fresh cranberries?
Yes. You can purchase fresh DeGrandchamp Farms cranberries at The Farm Store during cranberry season.
What else is there to do?
Beyond the cranberry bog, Cranberry Harvest Days may include local makers and vendors, cranberry sampling, food, children’s activities, seasonal treats, fresh cranberries, and Farm Store favorites. Current activities include the mini bog photo opportunity, bounce house, and
yard games. Because activities and vendors may change each year, guests should check the current event information for the latest lineup.
