The Red, White, and Blue Bar is one of our newer baked goods sold in our store! this tasty treat features both of DeGrandchamp Farm’s crops- blueberries and cranberries! Add some white chocolate chips and now you have a patriotic dish perfect for the 4th of July (or any day really)!!
If you have ever made our Blueberry Butterscotch, you might notice that these recipes are similar! That is because our baker, Sarah, tweaked that recipe to create this double fruit feature! It is available in our market on the weekends in the summer! If you want to try it out yourself we have the recipe below!
1 ¼ cup butter
1 ½ cup sugar
2 ¼ cups flour
¾ tsp salt
½ tsp baking soda
1 ½ cup cranberries (if frozen thaw 1hr first)
1 ½ cup blueberries
½ cup white chocolate chips
½ cup sliced almonds
2 tbs white sugar
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
In mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Beat in eggs one at a time.
In a separate bowl, mix flour, salt, and baking soda, and add to butter and sugar.
Fold in cranberries and blueberries. Spread into greased 9×13 pan. Sprinkle with chips, nuts, and sugar.
Bake for 40-45 minutes
